You probably have heard the expression “Jack of all trades, master of none!” It is usually advanced to discourage people from dabbling in multiple skills. Well, what if I told you that, that expression is not complete! Actually, the full rendition will shock you… It says…
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
Meaning, most often, it is better to have multiple skills even if you don’t get to expert level in any of them, than to have only one skill even if you be an expert in just that sole or solo skill. How is the latter even possible!?
The expression was more of a compliment, or at least meant to be.
